A 5 step process to get live stock and crypto prices in your investment dashboard.

1. Setup Notion2Sheets

• [ ] Head to Notion2Sheets and install the free ad on (it specifies that access you grant it)
• [ ] Open a new Google Sheet worksheet (it’s free)
• [ ] Confirm that Notion2Sheets icon appears on the right hand sidebar

2. Connect the database

• [ ] Open your Google Sheet and click on the Notion2Sheets icon
• [ ] Click add workspace
• [ ] Choose your Notion HQ workspace and select the Investment Dashboard page
• [ ] Open Backend, select the Portfolio Database and open as a page.
• [ ] On the portfolio database page, click share on the top right, click invite and select the Notion2Sheets integration.
• [ ] On the portfolio database page, click the three dots on the top right, select copy link.
• [ ] Return to your Google Sheet and click connect database,
• [ ] If the Portfolio database automatically appears then select it
• [ ] If it prompts you to paste a link then paste the link copied above and select view database
• [ ] Select start sync

3. Formulas

• [ ] Find the column labelled ‘#️⃣ Current Price’

• [ ] For each investment replace the price with the live Google Finance formula. Find out more about the formula here and for the markets it supports here.

  For stocks

  Replace "AAPL" with the ticker symbol of your stock (ticker symbol lookup). You may need to add the market e.g. “NASDAQ:AAPL” before the ticket symbol depending on the market you’re adding.

  For crypto

  replace "BTC" with the ticker symbol of your cryptocurrency

  replace "USD" with your currency of interest

4. Syncing the databases

• [ ] Open Google Sheets and the Notion2Sheets icon
• [ ] Under Synced Columns click ‘Add your first synced column!’
• [ ] Click add synced column
• [ ] Select the Portfolio database
• [ ] Select ‘#️⃣ Current Price’
• [ ] Select add synced column

5. Ongoing use

• [ ] If you’re using the free account Notion2Sheets automatically updates your databases every 6 hours.
• [ ] For the first few days you have the option to manual push the sync which allows you to test if it is working on demand.
• [ ] Click the update database button, wait a few minutes and confirm the prices have updated in the Notion page.
